Autumn is almost here (or it might already be here, depending on when you’re reading this!) and for many, it’s their favourite season. It’s not too warm, not too cold, and there is no better time to load up on colourful pictures. If you’re wondering what to do in Collingwood this fall, we’ve got you covered.
Depending on the weather, you might still be fitting in a few beach days before it gets too cold. However, we’ve got some fun activities that are always good in the fall.
The Collingwood Art Crawl
Art and music lovers will not want to miss this one.
The Collingwood Art Crawl is an annual event featuring local artists and musicians showcasing their talents. It is a self-guided tour in the heart of downtown Collingwood.
For the tenth year, the event is happily returning to a pre-Covid form so there will be plenty to see and hear. Registration for the event has just closed so be sure to stay tuned to their social channels for updates!
Remember, this is an annual event, so if you did happen to miss it, you can always check it out next year!
Theatre Collingwood
There’s something about a play or musician in the fall that just feels good.
Theatre Collingwood is a not-for-profit theatre company that is dedicated to amazing theatre productions. Since 1984, they have been showcasing some of the best Canadian talent in the industry.
This season they have productions of Rock ‘n’ Roll is Here to Stay, The Foursome, Mary of Shanty Bay, and more. Always keep your eyes on their website for the latest productions.
There are few better ways to spend a beautiful fall day than grabbing dinner and a show at Theatre Collingwood. If you want to grab drinks after the show too, you could probably twist whoever’s arm you’re with!
Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market
Enjoying a beautiful morning outside and picking up some delicious food, all while supporting local? Sounds like a perfect day to us.
The Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Thanksgiving weekend. It always features local vendors selling fresh products, naturally raised meat, preserves, baked goods, and lots more!
They even have special events throughout the season, many of which are perfect for the whole family.

Collingwood Trails
It’s no secret that Collingwood is one of the most naturally beautiful places in Ontario.
With over 60 kilometres of recreational trails for cyclists, walkers, and joggers, there are always more than enough places to explore. They are a mix of granular, concrete, asphalt, wooden boardwalks, and most trails are also flat terrain meaning they are generally accessible for the physically challenged.
Collingwood Public Library
Are you still paying… for books!?
Sometimes you just can’t beat a cliché. On a cool autumn day (especially if it’s raining), curling up with a book might just be the best, most comfy option available.
If you want more of an activity, the Collingwood Public Library also hosts tons of events, from adult workshops to kid-friendly day camps. Oh, and it’s all completely free!
You can’t beat that.
